The Pre-Colombian style beads are produced in three basic shapes. The cylindrical slices (doughnuts or Heishi type), spheres and ovals. Because of the handmade nature of the beads, size and color may vary from photographs and from shipment to shipment. Our clay beads are priced per 16 inch and 8 inch strands. 8 inch strands are half of the prices quoted. Mix and match - select different colors and lengths within the same diameter for the best pricing. Colors

All clay beads made by Colombian Craft Connection are made with mixtures of earthenware clays, silica,and other minerals—all non-toxic materials. They are colored with various proportions of oxides and are fired at 1832 degrees Fahrenheit (1000 Centigrade). Pirometric cones 06-05. 
In keeping with the Pre-Colombian methods of fabrication, the beads are cut by hand, so their lengths are not even, thus creating a strand that has a characteristic movement and 
therefore the number of beads per inch will vary greatly. All our beads are very lightweight and are soft to the touch, with a velvety sequin like look to them.
